Vietnam

Vietnam was a special place to visit for me because of its significance to American history.  I visited the cities of Da Nang and Hoi An located in the south central coast as well as the ruined temples of My So’n.  After walking through fruit and vegetable markets, stopping at a barber shop to get a haircut, shopping for silk lanterns, and just mingling with the locals, I felt welcomed and overall got a great vibe during my stay.  I wish I could have stayed longer and I would love to return one day to visit Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam and explore the huge limestone rocks.

Like many people I was just doing a random search and your site popped up! I am glad I found it, and I love your work and entertaining point of view on things. Just like you I love to travel and take pictures, I am currently working in Shenzhen China(30 min drive from Hong Kong), if you ever end up around this area in the next two years let me know!

    Hi Dario,
Just stumbled across your site today and wanted to let you know that I love your images. I haven’t looked through them all yet (I’ll try to pace myself!) but so far I’ve particularly liked this Vietnam set, and the Egypt and Jordan one. I’m currently in Vietnam, one month in to a seven month around-the-world trip and funnily enough, my next stop is Jordan and Egypt! Your photos of these places remind me of where I’ve just been (Hoi An, My Son) and have whet my appetite for the places I’m about to visit! Thanks so much for your beautiful work.
I’ve uploaded a few of my Hoi An/Vietnam photos on my page – http://emilybenjamin.com – including some from my trip to Halong Bay… in case you wanted to check them out before you get to visit the limestone cliffs for yourself. By the way, pack a jumper – a lot colder up north than you’d expect!
    Take care,
    Emily :)
