In Spain, it doesn’t matter where you start as long as you get around to see it all. Driving through Spain is the best way to appreciate the landscape that it has to offer. Check out Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Granada and Barcelona for a taste of all corners of Spain. One of my favorites is viewing the Alhambra in Granada at sunset with the snow-capped mountains in the background. Barcelona is a city alive with artists and it contains many of architect Antoni Gaudi’s best work including the Sagrada Familia, which is still under construction and it is not expected to be completed until 2050.
Spain has many traditions, one of which is bullfighting. Although I photographed a bullfight while visiting Malaga, I regret going. I have never been in favor of this brutal sport and hope one day it is banned worldwide. At the moment cities around Spain are in the process of trying to ban bullfighting all together, with Catalonia being the first region to succeed in banning it! It will be a great day for the bulls!
