It’s true what people say about Portugal.  It really is that beautiful.  If you love architecture, amazing beaches, and delicious food, then you have found your next destination.  In the south of Portugal, you will find the amazing Algarve coast with tall rocks protruding from the water.  The white sandy beaches and the blue-green water is reminiscent of the Caribbean (minus the palm trees of course).  Going up the coast line, there are many small villages with inviting and picturesque scenery.  Evora is a small town in the middle of the country side with old buildings and beautiful gardens surrounding Roman ruins dating back to the 1st century AD.  Other towns worth visiting are Obidos, Peniche, and Coimbra which I highly recommend.  Lisbon is a charming capital with trolleys running up along the narrow streets.  While there, don’t forget to try the famous Pastel de Nata custard desert.  They were so good I think I had two.
