When I left Orlando in 2004 to join the Windjammer Barefoot Cruises fleet in the Caribbean as a photographer, I didn’t know what to expect. It was my first time on a sailing vessel. I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it for the first few months since my body was not used to life at sea. But there was only one way to find out. It was just a matter of time before I built my sea legs and I was living the life of a pirate…minus the pillage and plunder of course. My journey had begun and I stayed two years aboard these magnificent ships. I dedicate these pictures to the great people I worked with while sailing the islands and who recently passed away; Captain Casey, Captain Neil, Deb Flanagan, and Jim Johnson. You guys will always be remembered.

My Windjammer Days
