Under the Sea

Don’t worry I’m not going to sing the song.  But you sang it in your head, didn’t you?  Now it will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day :)

Underwater photography is the most fun for me in that you’re photographing in the most challenging conditions and all the rules you know out on land don’t really apply underwater.  There is so much to see down there and it’s a tragedy that most people have not gone past their swimming pool.  It really is a different world down there and you soon start to realize that you are the minority amongst all these sea creatures.  I have been diving for over 8 years and I find it fascinating that each dive is a whole new experience.  I’ve seen dolphins mating right in front of me in the waters of Bimini.  I’ve seen 150 year old ship wrecks still sitting on the sea floor undisturbed.  I’ve been followed by reef sharks, Blacktips, and even a bull shark!  It was a bit unnerving at times but I knew I was not a good meal for them…I’ve been told I’m too salty.  I’ve swam with the largest fish in the world…the Whale shark!

So if I convinced you to go get scuba certified (yeah Juan), then why are you still here reading this?  Go get wet.
